Choosing solver for current pulses
-
I am interested in modelling the artifact seen in an implanted dipole, created by short transcutaneous current mode biphasic square pluses (~1ms).
For getting started, I tried setting up a simplified model. The sensing electrodes as two small metallic cylinders along an axis separated by an insulator, and modelled the tissue as a uniform cube of the built in ‘brain’ material. The stimulation electrodes are two metallic plates touching opposite sides of the cube. I don’t want to exploit the simple geometry to simplify the simulation, as I want to use a more complex model once the configuration is correct.
I found relatively little information on ports in the documentation. I’d like to ask for some guidance on what is the preferred method to set up a time varying controlled current source/sink pair, and which solvers this would be compatible with? Attached is the geometry. Thank you!
