Here is a list of CAD formats that can be imported into Sim4Life:
- SEMCAD X models (.sem)
- ACIS SAT and SAB
- IGES
- ProEngineer assemblies and parts
- CATIA v4 and v5 (*)
- STL
- VTI
- VTP
- VTU
- STEP
- 3DS
- I-DEAS
- ODB++ (*)
(*) Note that not all of these formats are activated by default - some require a separate license

The list is actually quite a bit longer.
For surface meshes is includes:
- VTK
- PLY
- OBJ
- OFF
- DAT (iSEG/ViP surface format)
For image data it includes:
- PRJ (iSEG project files)
- NIFTY (NII, NII.GZ)
- DICOM
- MHA/MHD
- NRRD
For unstructured meshes it includes:
- Exodus II
- VTU
- NASTRAN (partial support)
