Neuron sensing theory

Hello all,

I have tried the neuron sensing tutorial and it is very interesting! I am curious to understand the way it actually works. Are there any resources I can refer to? I have read about the stimulation side of things but I am not sure how the results from neuron are integrated back into the EM field to give the results I get with the Yoon-sun arm neural sensing tutorial.
