License Borrowing

Dear S4L Community,
I need to use S4L when I'm offline and unable to reach our license server across a network. I see that the last tab in lmtools is "Borrowing", but I don't understand how it's supposed to work. Does the S4L licensing allow for this feature? Has anyone had experience checking out a license for a limited time?

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
