<![CDATA[Sim4Life 9.6 - Unable to select Simulation Type from "New" menu on Windows 11]]>I am currently using Sim4Life 9.6 on a Windows 11 laptop (Lenovo), and I am experiencing an issue with the user interface.

The problem occurs when I try to create a new simulation:

New → EM LF → Electro Ohmic Quasi-Static

The first drop-down menu opens correctly, but as soon as I move the cursor to select a simulation type (for example, EM LF), the menu immediately closes before I can make a selection.

I have already tried the following:

  • Restarting Sim4Life
  • Running as Administrator
  • Using both the touchpad and an external USB mouse
  • Testing with different tutorials (Monopole Stimulation and Yoon-sun Arm Stimulation)

The same behavior occurs in all cases.

The issue you are describing is related to the available screen space, which is too limited for Sim4Life. This can happen when Windows display scaling is above 100% or when the laptop screen has insufficient vertical resolution. Please check the display scaling setting and try 100%; if it is already at 100%, a higher-resolution external monitor may be needed.

In any case, a solution is to right-click on the simulation tab and select "New" there to create your simulation.
